Something

We are Anothersomething.
We write for a selective audience about selective topics.
About something we like, something we love.
About quality and handcrafted goods.
About the beauty of small businesses and people with interesting stories.
About new creativity around the world and awarded creativity we want to share.

We value tradition and at the same time embrace progression.
We are positive. But also selective.

We don’t fall for just anything.
We are attracted to the quality, aesthetic and sophistication of something.
A unique, incomparable and extraordinary something.
Anothersomething.

Finaly.
After some months of hard work, focusing on clients and kids, and surviving the dark winter days we are online! This is going to be the official Anothercompany weblog.
Together with this, I've updated my portfolio website. Take a look & enjoy!

Thank you Jonathan Looman for building this wonderful wordpress blog!

Rangefinder

Quite expensive, but probably my new camera! The new R-D1xG from Epson. 'The retro body is a rangefinder camera, which means manual focusing using the matched images familiar to anyone who has used a film rangefinder. It even takes Leica lenses, making it a passable alternative to Leica’s own M8, and cheaper at $3000. Weirdly, Epson hasn’t upped the pixel-count of the CCD sensor — it still holds just 6MP. This could either be fantastic news (a new, ultra low-light sensor) or terrible (old, 2006 technology).'

Publish your own magazine

I love Issuu, the online (magazine) publication tool! But now I found the MagCloud. MagCloud enables you to publish your own magazines. All you have to do is upload a PDF and they'll take care of the rest: printing, mailing, subscription management, and more. I'm curious about the quality is! Kalina is one of these nice examples.

Black Magic

A beautiful laser etched wine bottle by /M/A/S/H/. "The words actually cut into the surface of the glass giving a great tactile and very raw feel. Something that screen printing could not achieve. The result was a cross between contemporary luxury and
personalised roughness."

Inspired inspirers

Nice: Inspired-Inspirers is a place for people who inspire the world to show us who inspires them. Every 2 weeks a new issue is released showcasing 4 new inspirers from all over the world.

"Getting inspired is like a journey, you take your bike and just start traveling. Thereby you are influenced by your natural surrounding, at crossroads you decide to turn left or right spontaneously. Hence your journey could always lead to a different place, depending on your mood. The inspiration arises from the way you choose."

The generic man

Style for The generic man.
The generic man doesn’t need branding and logos to make him feel confident or stylish. He understand the significance of quality construction and clean, simple, refined lines.
The generic man is confident enough in himself to accept simplicity.

So nice, so true!
